MLS Assignment #1 Pennsylvania

It all begins with a wanting to see the fall leaves. After leaving my full-time job and deciding to become a traveler I researched some recruiting companies and talked with some recruiters. 

I applied for a position in Pennsylvania and accepted it. With the pandemic in full swing, the price was nice and I would finally get to see the seasons after living my life in Florida.

The hospital itself has been the largest I have ever worked at 900 beds and was located in an extremely small town in rural Pennsylvania. This hospital’s laboratory is almost a reference lab as many of the small towns throughout the state send their samples here to be tested. This includes covid testing - what they hired me for. At the end of 2021, during the COVID Omnicom outbreak, I was running about 500 COVID tests per day. But they did let me escape the COVID room once a week to work urines and blood gasses. It was truly a unique experience.
