Being in a Hospital full of Travelers!
Being in a Hospital full of Travelers you know it's going to be fun. And in this hospital there were more travelers employed than full time staff. A sad but true situation as so many of us are either nearing retirement age or fresh out of school (but that is a story for another time).
Being in a Hospital full of travelers you know others are going through the same experience as you. Moving to a new town where you know no-one or only a few people, not looking for too much overtime so you have some free time to explore, and always asking to see if others know any tricks you don't know about recruiters or the job itself.
At this hospital it seemed they took Travelers in waves (~6months at a time) and I was part of the new wave. There was a girl a year or two older than me and a couple, along with my best friend, all of whom started a week or more before me. And within my first week of training two other travelers' contracts ended. It was interesting to see the turnover from this new perspective - as I've only witnessed it as a full time employee before.
